Thomas Karlovits

Deputy Head of European Research

Thomas graduated with a master of Economics and BA from the University of Vienna and obtained the CEFA in 1995. He worked as a senior analyst at RZB Raiffeisen Zentralbank (1991-1996), SMH Schröder Münchmeyer Hengst (1996-1997), CAI Cheuvreux Germany (1998-2002) and Santander Central Hispano (2002-2003). He joined Kepler Equities in 2003, covering German telecom operators. In 2007, he was promoted to Deputy Head of European Research and is also Co-Head of the German Research team.

Pierre Boucheny

Head of French Equity Research

Pierre Boucheny joined Kepler Equities (the former Julius Baer Brokerage) in 1997 as co-head of the French research team and also as an equity research analyst covering electrical equipment, semiconductors and aerospace/defence. He is sector head of European aerospace/defence. From 1988, he covered these sectors at Dynabourse and Ferri, two French stockbrokers. Pierre started his professional career in 1986 as a strategic consultant at Strategic Partners in Paris. He has a Masters degree in Economics and Finance from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and the University Paris II.

Roger Steiner

Head of Swiss Equity Research

Roger Steiner serves as head of Swiss equity research and covers Swiss technology and business services companies. Before joining Kepler Equities (at that time Julius Baer Brokerage) in January 2001, he worked as internal IT consultant at Geberit International in Paris and Chicago for three years followed by four years in the IT industry with Hewlett-Packard Switzerland. Roger Steiner holds a business administration degree in Banking & Finance from Zurich University of Applied Sciences and has a diploma as a Certified Network Engineer. He is also a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) and is a CFA charterholder.

Roberto Mascarello

Head of Italian Equity Research

Roberto Mascarello started his professional career in 1987 as a risk analyst at the Loan Department of Banca di Credito Cooperativo. He worked then as a financial analyst, covering Utilities & Oils, at Murchio SIM & Co (1998-1999), Eptasim Spa (1999-2000), CAI Cheuvreux (2000-2004). He joined Kepler Equities in March 2004 and was later promoted to be Head of Italian Equity Research.
