Kepler Capital Markets (‘KCM’) is pleased to announce the appointment of Philippe Musette-Sykes as Head of Debt and Equity Capital Markets. This is a newly created role which reflects KCM’s ambitions in debt and equity issuance. Philippe will also act as a senior relationship manager, representing the full range of KCM products, for French clients and selected international institutional clients.
Philippe has held senior management and business development positions across a wide array of French and international financial services companies. Prior to joining KCM, Philippe was Head of European Debt Markets at NYSE Euronext.
Philippe started his career in 1972 as an equity arbitrageur with James Capel in London. At Prudential Bache in Paris, where he started in 1974, he set up a new business for the company in Eurobond trading. In 1981, he moved to Banque Arabe Internationale d’Investissement in Paris as an international bonds fund manager.
From 1984 onwards, Philippe assumed several Fixed Income trading and sales roles, both in London and Paris, for companies such as Chemical Bank and Kleinwort Benson. Thereafter followed a 20 year career at the Crédit Agricole Group (Crédit Agricole Indosuez, Calyon CIB) where Philippe had various responsibilities within Fixed Income, including responsibility for the Interest Rates & Derivatives e-business.
Philippe was a board member of ISMA (International Securities Market Association, a capital market self-regulatory organisation) from 1996 to 2002. He is currently a member of the French CNO (Comité de Normalisation Obligatoire) and the chairman of the Fixed Income committee at the FESE (Federation of European Stock Exchanges).
