Kepler Capital Markets receives top rankings in Thomson Extel survey, 2009

The annual Thomson Extel survey canvasses the opinions of global institutional investors on the Research, Sales and Execution capabilities of Pan-European brokerage firms.

Kepler is pleased to announce improved rankings across multiple voting categories which re-enforce Kepler’s claim to be a Top 10 broker in Continental European equities.

There was particular progress in the ‘Country Analysis’ rankings which is the voting category which best defines Kepler’s multi-local model.

Regarding sector research, Kepler had four sectors ranked in the Top 10 on the headline ‘Commissions Paid’ basis versus just one sector in the previous year.

The ratio of sectors where Kepler improved its rankings was clearly positive: 17 Up versus 8 Down.

Regarding Small & Mid caps, Kepler achieved the following rankings:

  • 3rd for Pan-European Small & Mid Cap Research
  • 5th for Pan-European Small & Mid Cap Sales
  • 3rd for Pan-European Small & Mid Cap Execution

Commenting on this year’s successful results, Jose-Antonio Hernandez, Co-Head of Equity Brokerage, said ‘Kepler’s improved rankings are a tribute to the professionalism and dynamism of our equity analysts, sales people and sales traders. I believe that the fact that Kepler is now owned by its management and staff has unleashed a new wave of ambition to do well in surveys such as Thomson Extel’.
